Performance Mountain Three models of 2012 bikes are available in this category: - the Kona Tanuki 26” wheel full suspension bike in size 15”, 17” & 19" - Kona’s Kahuna 29er hardtail, sizes 16”, 18”, & 20” - Santa Cruz aluminum Tall Boy full suspension 29er in sizes 18” & 20” for Dirt Rag's review on the aluminum Tall Boy see Issue #161(Feb. 2012) Any of these models are sweet rides and renting one may be your chance to give something you don’t ride at home a try on any of the terrific trails around Whitefish. Hardtails The complete size run of 2010 Kona Blasts. The Blasts have four inches of travel in the front and include mechanical disc brakes providing you with all the control you need to get great XC rides on trails like the Pig Farms or Round Meadows. Performance Road Bikes 2012 Jamis Quest. Why do magazines describe the most praiseworthy carbon and aluminum frames as being “steel-like”? The ride quality of the Jamis Quest will show you why. People love the ride of the Reynolds 631 steel frame and carbon fiber fork. The Quest has a Shimano 105 10-speed drive train, compact double 50/34 crank and a Shimano 11-28 cassette. Sizes 48cm, 51cm, 54cm, 56cm, 58cm, and 61cm. These performance road bikes have a full carbon fiber fork, Ritchey wheel set and will satisfy even those of you whose personal bikes cost significantly more. Touring Road Bikes 2010 Jamis Auroras with triple cranks in size 50, 53, 55, 57, 59, 62. This bike is a versatile road machine good for touring or long road rides. They are equipped with a rear rack and two water bottle cages. Rent the Aurora for a fast 1/2 day road ride around the valley, a trip up the Going-To-The-Sun road in Glacier National Park or a Glacier-Waterton Loop tour. Hybrid Bikes 2011 Kona Dews in a full size range. These bikes are extremely comfortable and fun to ride! Great for cruising the bike paths in Whitefish, Kalispell and Glacier National Park.
