About Us - Employment Opportunities

Who We Are

Glacier Cyclery was established on April 19, 1982 by Ron Brunk as a seasonal bicycle repair business with a "capital" investment of five hundred dollars in tools and two thousand in small parts. During the fall and winter of 2000/2001 the Glacier Cyclery staff exchanged their bike wrenches for tools of the construction trades and renovated the building next door to the old shop allowing us to expand our products and services and design an outdoor courtyard where the old building once stood. Glacier Cyclery has grown from the sole proprietorship it was in 1982, to a staff of twelve in peak season, and we are always looking for quality people to join Glacier Cyclery. If employment in a busy bicycle/fitness store in a resort town in northwest Montana appeals to you, please read this section. It includes Glacier Cyclery's mission statement, pictures and bios of Glacier Cyclery's staff as well as current positions that we are actively looking for quality people to fill.

Mission Statement And Target Markets

Glacier Cyclery is the recognized "brand" and bicycling presence in the Flathead Valley. We will continue to establish the standards that other shops must compete against in sales, customer service, mechanical expertise, product knowledge, local riding knowledge and cycling events and activities. Glacier Cyclery’s customer base is a diverse mix of cycling enthusiasts. The retention of the local rider is our highest priority. We identify women, children, and families as large segments of our market. We recognize that cycle tourists and tourism make up a large part of our summer business. To meet and retain these target markets we are committed to developing and partnering with others on cycling events, activities and advocacy; selecting product and mechanizing towards these specific customers; and using technology to inform, educate and connect with our current target market and the growing number of people in the Flathead Valley.
